Coping is all about effectively dealing with, and managing stressful situations. Of course, we’re all different and so the way in which we cope with these things are going to be different, however, regardless of who you are, and how you deal with what life throws at you, there are some universal factors when it comes to coping.

Conflict & Resolution

Conflict, is where two opposing factors meet head on, for example, disagreeing, maybe arguing, with someone, and resolution is the solution behind the conflict in order to prevent it from happening, to prevent further disagreement. Conflict is something that is best avoided as it can be unpleasant to experience, however if you do find yourself or someone you care about in conflict, finding a resolution, a solution, that is peaceful, and that helps everyone is the best way to assure that it doesn’t happen again.

Collaboration

Collaboration

Collaboration is the process of working together with another person or persons in order to achieve something. This could be working together on a project for work or school, perhaps you’re trying to fix or build something or it could just be playing a game with a friend. If you want people to help you when you need it most, you will need to collaborate with others, and to make sure you get what you’re after you’ll need to know how to collaborate effectively, and why it’s important to succeed.

An argument that many climate deniers use is that the climate has always changed throughout the Earth’s history and therefore we shouldn’t worry about it because ‘it will sort itself out’. At a very basic level, they do have a point, the Earth’s atmosphere has always changed, but we’re making it worse than ever before. What can we, can you, do about it?
